
Semhar is a Paralegal on the UK team at Laura Devine Immigration, where she assists corporate and private clients on a broad range of UK immigration matters.
She works with employers, businesses and private individuals, supporting applications across a range of immigration routes and providing practical assistance throughout the application process.
Since joining Laura Devine Immigration, Semhar has assisted on Skilled Worker, Skilled Worker settlement, Long Residence settlement, UK Ancestry and sponsor licence applications. Semhar has a particular interest in Skilled Worker and settlement matters.
Semhar previously worked at Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project in the United States, assisting attorneys with Asylum, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), VAWA, and other humanitarian pathways to US citizenship. This experience strengthened her interest in immigration law and reinforced her commitment to assisting clients with complex immigration matters before moving to the UK to develop her skills in UK immigration law.
Semhar holds an LLB (Hons) from The University of Law, London. During her studies, she developed a particular interest in human rights law and international commercial law. Prior to studying law, she obtained a BA in Public Relations and Law & Society from American University in Washington, D.C., providing her with a multidisciplinary perspective on law, policy and communications.
