Caecilia is a Trainee Solicitor in the UK team who assists with a range of family, personal and business immigration matters. She has worked in the Human Rights branch of the team, supporting pro bono cases ranging from Refugee Family Reunion and Asylum claims to late applications under the EU Settlement Scheme. Caecilia also enjoys assisting with complex family applications, including for children and partners, and has developed experience in discretionary applications for individuals with periods of overstay in the UK.

Caecilia also has experience with settlement applications for individuals who have accrued 10 years’ residence in the UK, as well as discretionary nationality applications where applicants did not meet the standard residence requirements.

Alongside personal migration, Caecilia has experience in corporate immigration, including with the Skilled Worker routes, and the Global Business Mobility: Expansion Worker and Senior or Specialist Worker routes. In particular, Caecilia has assisted with a number of startup sponsor licence applications, which typically fall under stronger Home Office scrutiny. She has assisted in sectors ranging from the film industry and interior design to engineering, dentistry technology and banking.

Caecilia is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and stays up to date by regularly attending meetings in the European and Economic migration working groups. She is fluent in German, has a strong proficiency in French, and also speaks some Spanish and Dutch.

Caecilia is currently en route to qualifying as a solicitor, having already passed the Solicitor’s Qualifying Exam Part 1 of 2.
