Sam is a Senior Solicitor at Laura Devine Immigration and has focused exclusively on UK immigration and nationality law since 2012.
At Laura Devine Immigration, Sam advises both corporate and private clients on a wide range of personal and business immigration and nationality matters.
His extensive experience includes facilitating immigration solutions for multinational companies including tech start-ups and companies in the insurance, banking, and life sciences sector, successfully securing settlement and British citizenship for clients whose applications were complex and required the Home Office/Secretary of State to exercise discretion and assisting tech entrepreneurs and dancers in being granted Global Talent visas. He has developed particular expertise with sponsor licence applications, compliance and sponsored worker applications.
Sam is an experienced trainer and public speaker, having trained other immigration practitioners on behalf of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) for over seven years, presented a LexisNexis webinar on right to work and compliance (together with Natasha Chell, Partner) and he spoke at the ILPA sponsor licence conference in 2023. He has been involved in successfully lobbying the Home Office to effect policy changes and was also invited to the Cabinet Digital Office to provide feedback as an ‘expert user’ when the former UK Border Agency (UKBA) website moved to gov.uk.
