Emily is a Solicitor in the UK immigration team. Emily’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of immigration and nationality matters and she advises both private and corporate clients on a wide range of personal, business and human rights immigration matters.

Emily has particular expertise in family and relationship-based applications, complex private life cases and discretionary applications made on human rights grounds. She has secured status for long-term overstayers, individuals with previous refusals as well as vulnerable adults seeking to remain with their families in the UK. Emily is actively involved with the firm’s pro-bono programme and has worked on sensitive cases involving refugees and their families. Emily was listed on the 2026 Pro Bono Recognition list.

Additional personal immigration experience includes complex late EU Settlement Scheme applications, tracing nationality for British citizenship and registration cases and working with talented individuals and entrepreneurs applying under the Global Talent and Innovator Founder routes.

On the business immigration side, Emily advises a broad range of corporate clients, from large multinationals to start-ups who she helps navigate the UK’s ever-evolving immigration landscape. She has developed a particular expertise advising start-ups and companies with a new UK presence to obtain a sponsor licence, enabling them to employ overseas nationals in the UK. She also provides practical ongoing support to clients on sponsorship duties and compliance and right to work issues.

Alongside her client work, Emily enjoys contributing to the firm’s policy research and advocacy initiatives. She regularly comments on developments in UK immigration on the firm’s blog and Lexis Nexis publications and has delivered presentations at leading UK universities on post-graduate immigration options for international students. Emily is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.
