Malini is a senior solicitor and Head of Appeals and Human Rights in the UK immigration team at Laura Devine Solicitors in London and a manager in the appeals and human rights team.
Malini specialises in private client and personal immigration matters, in particular refusals, administrative reviews and appeals relating to human rights issues. A large proportion of instructions relate to family-based applications, discretionary applications on the basis of the European Convention on Human Rights and complex immigration applications, most involving direct liaising with senior-level contacts at the Home Office. She also advises on applications for EEA nationals and non-EEA family members.
Malini's personal clients include celebrities and high-net worth individuals and she represents religious organisations. In addition, Malini advises companies on business immigration, with a particular emphasis on the points-based system (PBS) including sponsor licences, Tier 2 and right-to-work matters. Corporate clients include global software consultancy organisations, educational providers, international law firms, media corporations and renewable technology organisations.
Malini regularly presents on UK immigration law in the UK and overseas to clients, educational institutions and at conferences. She provides training for other UK immigration practitioners through ILPA and is an active member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
