Sophie Barrett-Brown comments on ending freedom of movement in the event of a no-deal Brexit

Senior Partner and Head of UK Practice Sophie Barrett-Brown spoke with LexisNexis regarding the latest announcements from the UK government casting doubt over the immigration options of EU nationals and their family members arriving in the UK after a no-deal Brexit.

The European temporary leave to remain immigration category was unveiled by the government in January 2019 to soften the impact of a no deal Brexit and to provide a transitional immigration category for EU citizens wishing to come to the UK after exit day. Sophie outlines the potential uncertainty employers and individuals could experience in the wake of doubt being cast over this vital aspect of no-deal planning by the government.
