Brexit - the start of the EU grace period
4 January 2021
The Brexit transition period has now ended and EU free movement no longer applies in the UK. A grace period is now in place until 30 June 2021, whereby certain EEA/Swiss nationals and family members may continue to reside in the UK and apply under the EU Settlement Scheme. EEA/Swiss nationals may also now apply for permission to reside and work in the UK under the new immigration system.
