Home Office guidance published for employers for the new UK immigration system

20 November 2020

With the imminent launch of the Skilled Worker, ICT and other sponsored work routes of the new UK immigration system on 1 December 2020, the Home Office has published a suite of new guidance for existing sponsors and employers applying for a sponsor licence for the first time.

This guidance and the sponsor duties and requirements it sets out takes effect from 1 December 2020.

The new sponsor guidance has helpfully been divided into five different parts (linked below):

This replaces the previous consolidated Home Office Tier 2 and 5 guidance for sponsors, which was the primary guidance for employers under the current system.

Further guidance for Skilled Worker applicants and Intra-Company Transfer applicants is expected to be published by the Home Office imminently.
