For Chinese, US visa halt puts jobs and citizen hopes at risk

Hundreds of Chinese jobs, lives, and right to work in the US are on the line after the Trump administration imposed a travel ban and visa processing halt on foreigners in China over the coronavirus outbreak. In an article in My Northwest, Anastasia Tonello warns that discouraging high-skilled foreigners from immigrating could undermine the US economy and its global prominence, “while health and safety are legitimate concerns, blanket travel bans aren’t the answer”.
