Tracy Chevalier Book Event

Wednesday 12 February 2020

It was an absolute treat to have Tracy Chevalier join us to discuss her most recent novel, A Single Thread, set in and around Winchester Cathedral in the 1930s, and involves embroidery, bellringing, and an adventurous heroine.

Tracy is an American-British historical novelist and author of 10 novels, including the international bestseller Girl with a Pearl Earring, which has sold over five million copies and been made into an Oscar-nominated film starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth.

Thank you to everyone who attended, we raised £800 for Tracy’s chosen charity, Fine Cell Work. The charity enables prisoners to build fulfilling and crime-free lives by training them in creative needlework to foster hope, discipline and self-esteem.
