Literary Lounge with Michael Cashman in support of the Paul Cottingham Trust

On Thursday 29 January 2026, Laura Devine Immigration hosted a Literary Lounge with Michael Cashman on his book One of Them: From Albert Square to Parliament Square.

Lord Michael Cashman is a British actor, writer, politician, LGBT rights activist and cofounder of Stonewall. Michael was a member of the Labour Party for over forty years but resigned membership in June 2024. He served on Labour’s National Executive, was elected to the European Parliament as a member for the West Midlands (1999 to 2014) and has been a member of the House of Lords since 2014. He is currently writing his first novel.

A raffle on the evening benefitted the Paul Cottingham Trust.
