LDI virtual book event with the Right Hon Jack Straw MP and Michael Burleigh

After 20 years of hosting literary evenings, we are delighted to announce our first virtual book event with the Right Hon Jack Straw and Michael Burleigh on Thursday, 19 November at 6.30 pm.

Jack will be discussing his latest book ‘The English Job: Understanding Iran and Why It Distrusts Britain’.

Jack is a British politician who served as an MP for Blackburn from 1979 to 2015. Jack is one of only three people to have served in the cabinet continuously during the Labour governments from 1997 to 2010. He was Home Secretary from 1997 to 2001, Foreign Secretary from 2001 to 2006,  Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain and Secretary of State for Justice from 2007 to 2010.
