Girls Not Brides Charity Book Event

On Thursday 6 June 2019, Laura Devine Solicitors held a charity book event with Elif Shafak, award-winning novelist and the most widely read female writer in Turkey. Elif read from her latest book 10 Minutes 38 seconds in this Strange World, a truly captivating work of immense power and beauty, on the essence of life and its end.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, we raised over £750 for Girls Not Brides, a global partnership of more than 1,000 civil society organisations from over 95 countries committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential.
