On Tuesday 29 October, Laura Devine Immigration hosted an evening with Louise Doughty who read from her most recent novel, Platform Seven.
Louise is the author of nine novels, including the number one bestseller Apple Tree Yard, which was adapted as a four-part BBC One series starring Emily Watson. Her sixth novel, Whatever You Love, was shortlisted for the Costa Novel Award and longlisted for the Orange Prize and her books have been translated into thirty languages worldwide.
Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, we raised over £810 for National Literacy Trust.
