Donald Trump kicked off his campaign for the White House with some radical, tough and even wild statements regarding immigration: build a wall between the US and Mexico; round up and deport the approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants, and even ban Muslims from entering the country.

More recently, “The Donald” has rowed back somewhat to a position that is closer to that of those he defeated for the Republican Party nomination. His flip-flopping makes it hard to predict exactly what immigration would look like under a Trump administration but what impact may a Trump (or even a Hillary Clinton) presidency have on UK citizens who wish to study, visit or work in the US?
